The annual Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards has announced the shortlist, with photos submitted by professional and amateur photographers from around the world, and selected 40 funny sides of wildlife in 2022.

Including the flying sheep preparing to take off on the turf, the bear who was slapped in the face after failing to catch fish, and the cute version of the three hell bears, all kinds of unexpected actions made people smile.

Including a raccoon waving hello and a quarrelsome pair of penguins, the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards finalists are back, with 42 shortlisted images yet again showing the funniest animal antics.

The Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards was founded in 2015 by wildlife photographer Paul Johnson-Hicks, hoping that people will pay attention to wildlife and then support ecological conservation.

Johnson-Hicks believes that the vast majority of wildlife protection images have too heavy demands, which actually hinders our sympathy for the plight of animals.

In contrast, animal photos that can make people smile are more attractive to people who want to know and protect these lovely animals.

Of course, the so-called funny, most of the time is the use of anthropomorphic imagination, but this is one of the factors that most evokes human empathy. With empathy, people can respect and protect these wild animals as compatriots on the same planet.

The subject matter of the Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards is not limited, and there is only one requirement, that is, "no posing", it must be a funny picture that happens to appear in a completely non-artificial natural situation.

The top 42 finalists were selected from thousands of entries and are currently submitted to all netizens to vote together. As long as you register your E-mail, you can tick the photo that you think is the funniest, and the voting will end on November 27.

The best comedy photo of the year will be announced on December 8, and the winner will receive a one-week trip to a Kenyan wildlife reserve.

"With so much going on in the world, we can all have fun and laugh, and this year's finalists certainly did," Suram wrote in a statement, according to the report. You can't help but smile and admire the incredible animals that live with us on this earth.

The founders of the competition said that behind the cute photos of cute pets, they have always kept in mind the original intention of helping animals. So this year, in addition to posting cute animals, £10,000 each will be donated to three separate charities to help improve the lives of pets and promote the work of the organizations.
