Sun protection is really important. Sun protection can effectively reduce the damage of ultraviolet rays to the skin, slow down the speed of skin aging, and prevent spots and skin sagging and fine lines. If you have acne-prone skin and sensitive skin, the effect of sunscreen is more obvious. If the skin is not treated with sunscreen, then the ultraviolet light will cause acne to become inflamed and leave scars. So, sun protection is really important.

According to the different wavelengths, ultraviolet rays are divided into two types:

UVA: Ultraviolet rays with the longest wavelength, not absorbed by the ozone layer at the top of the atmosphere, can penetrate the dermis, penetrate deeper into the skin than UVB, cause damage to lipids and collagen, causing the skin to age and even skin cancer.

UVB: Medium-wave ultraviolet rays, which can reach the dermis, causing sunburn, erythema, etc., but most of the UVB is absorbed by the ozone layer, and can be blocked by glass, umbrellas, clothes, etc.

Sunburn: Sunburn is an acute inflammatory reaction that occurs locally after prolonged exposure to strong sunlight due to poor skin tolerance to sunlight. The light that causes this disease is medium-wave ultraviolet (wavelength 290-320nm). It mainly occurs in summer, more common in outdoor work and tourists, and it is more likely to occur in people with fair skin.

The specific manifestations are: the onset after sun exposure. The basic damage is a large area of erythema with clear boundaries in the sun-exposed area. In severe cases, blisters and large cells may occur. There is burning or stinging pain. Occurs on exposed parts such as face, neck, shoulders, and limbs.

There are many ways of sun protection. Generally, sun protection can be achieved by applying sunscreen products, using sunscreen clothing, etc. Sunscreen products can be divided into physical sunscreen and chemical sunscreen. Physical sunscreen is to form a protective film on the skin surface to block ultraviolet rays, and chemical sunscreen It can absorb UV rays and prevent UV rays from directly causing damage to the skin.

1. Apply sunscreen

Applying sunscreen can help protect our skin from UV rays to a certain extent and reduce the damage of UV rays to the skin. Sunscreen is a product that should be used all year round, and ultraviolet light is not judged by the strength of the sun. So develop a good habit of applying sunscreen when going out to reduce skin damage.

2. Sunscreen clothing and umbrella

In summer, the skin is exposed more and is easily damaged by ultraviolet light. Wearing a light sunscreen and a parasol can physically block the sun and reduce skin damage.

Sunscreen needs to be done all year round, not only when you go out, but also when you are indoors near a window. You need to apply sunscreen on sunny days, but also on rainy or snowy days. If you can stick to sunscreen from a young age, you can greatly reduce the speed of skin aging and most importantly, prevent skin cancer!
